Information about opportunities for studying abroad
The LMU has a number of partner universities all over the world. The exchange is easier here (formalities, recognition of ECTS). You can only apply for the partner universities once a year, so it is best to inform and apply early about deadlines. A year before departure is sometimes too late to apply to all organizations (esp. DAAD). But it is also possible to organize an exchange yourself at another university.
If you would like to have ECTS acquired abroad recognized at the LMU, you should clarify this in advance with the course coordinator.
